Introducing Tempe Chiropractor,
Dr. Stephen J. Hill

It's hard for me to believe that 25 years have already gone by since I started my practice.
I wish I knew then what I know now! God has brought me patients with such diverse and infinite health needs over these years. I have been blessed and stretched to become a more complete physician since I started. I love helping people and watching them GET WELL!
I had the opportunity to play NCAA volleyball during my undergraduate years in college. While playing a match in Minnesota, I met a man who worked at Northwestern College of Chiropractic. He shared with me about chiropractic health care and invited me to visit one of their outpatient clinics. When I went to the clinic, I was amazed to see many of the Minnesota Vikings football team there being treated. I was able to talk with several of the players about what their doctors were doing with them and then prayerfully made my decision to pursue becoming a doctor of chiropractic myself. With God's help I made it!
Education
My undergraduate education was at Kellogg, Ball State, and the University of Minnesota. I was amazed at the intensity and depth of education received in 4 years at Northwestern Chiropractic College. We studied anatomy, nutrition, physiology, biochemistry, psychology, histology, microbiology, x-ray, diagnosis, the cardiovascular system, the respiratory system, reproductive system, the endocrine system, the nervous system, the musculoskeletal system, the immune system, the digestive system, and chiropractic treatment protocols. The education revealed to me just how great God's design was in creating us, and how important it is for us to keep it functioning in that same design.
My job is as your chiropractic physician is to first listen to your needs.
I have been to many physician offices and left wondering if they even heard a word I said. I can't afford not listening since I have one chance to get you well and if I don't give the very best I have to you, I will never get another chance to help. Understanding what your individual problems are is the first critical step toward getting you back to a healthy state. Secondly, after good exams and possible x-rays, my job is to teach you what the problem really is, show you how and why it got that way, and then teach you how to stay well with you learning to taking an active part. I love to put myself out of a job as a crisis healthcare physician (getting you /my patient well), so I can walk with my patients over their life time as a personal health and wellness advocate (coaching you to stay well).
Personally
I love my wife Julie, my three sons Luke, Stephen, and Nate. My wife is the daughter of a Green Bay Packer so we make our almost annual trek to Green Bay to watch a game in the sub-zero tundra. I also love to golf when my dad is in town.
My three boys are all over 20 years old and were checked and treated by me in the hospital at their births. They have grown up virtually without prescription medications. We might have had an antibiotic once in the house because instead of treating disease, we invested in keeping the family well. They all have amazing immune systems. Preventing a problem is so much easier and more rewarding than fighting disease. Try it you'll like it!
Enough about me! I want to personally thank you for visiting our site. I look forward to meeting you in person and together learning how we may be of service to you.
